Swedish-Style Massage Seat
A powerful seat with plenty of legroom provides back relaxation with wrist jets and a Swedish-style massage — plus a waistline air massage that soothes the skin while you unwind.
Start by measuring the area where you plan to put your spa. You'll need at least 2 feet of clearance on all sides for access and servicing. Also note any gates, doorways, or pathways the delivery team will need to pass through. Standard spa dimensions range from roughly 6'x6' for smaller 2-person models to 8'x8' or larger for 6-8 person spas. Swim spas would be even larger. Measure access points too because most spas need a clear path of at least 36 inches wide. Your Sundance® dealer can walk you through exact dimensions for any model you're considering.
Not always. Seating capacity is based on the number of molded seat positions in the shell, but real-world comfort depends on a few factors. First, body size: larger adults need more legroom, and some seats are designed for average or smaller builds. Second, seat type: a lounge seat occupies footwell space that other seated users share when the lounge is occupied, it can effectively reduce the usable space for everyone else. Third, jet positioning: some seats are designed with specific jet configurations for individual use. A practical rule of thumb: subtract one from the stated capacity to get the number of adults who can soak comfortably at the same time. When you visit a dealer showroom, sit in the actual model you're considering. Wet test sessions are available at many Sundance® dealers so you can evaluate fit and comfort before you commit.
Jets: The number, type, and placement of jets matter more than the total count. Directional jets target specific muscle groups; rotary jets provide a broader massage. Look for adjustable jets so each person can customize the pressure. Pumps: More pumps generally means more jets running simultaneously at full power. A spa with two pumps can deliver a noticeably more powerful experience than one with a single pump. Filtration: Clean water depends on good filtration. Sundance® spas use a multi-stage filtration system that keeps water cleaner with less chemical maintenance. Controls: Intuitive topside controls let you adjust temperature, jets, and lighting easily. Many models also connect to a smartphone app for remote monitoring. Lighting: LED lighting, including underwater and perimeter lights, extends evening use and sets the mood. Insulation: Full-foam insulation retains heat more efficiently, which affects your monthly energy costs. Cover: A well-fitting insulated cover is essential. It retains heat, keeps debris out, and is a safety requirement if children are around.
