Jonathan Clark, President & CEO of Sundance Spas, Appointed to APSP Board

The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) is pleased to announce the confirmation of Jonathan Clark, President & CEO of Sundance Spas, to serve on the national APSP Board of Directors in an “director-at-large” seat representing manufacturers of the pool and spa industry.
The APSP Board governs the strategic directions of the Association in representing all facets of the pool and spa industry. Clark’s three-year appointment to the BOD will begin in November, 2008. The other at-large seat representing manufacturers on the Board is held by Mark Laven, President & CEO of Latham International who joined the Board on November 27, 2007 for a three-year term.
“As a long-time citizen of the pool and hot tub industry, I am humbled to be nominated to the APSP board,” remarked Clark. “The APSP leadership is running an outstanding organization and I was pleased to accept their invitation. Our collective industry faces cyclical market challenges as well as additional external forces that can best be overcome when we act together. Through the board, I look forward to contributing to the long-term vitality of the industry.”
Mr. Clark joined Sundance Spas, Inc. in 1991. He became the President in 1999 and was appointed President and CEO in 2006. Prior to this, he held a series of executive positions in the industry. He began his career in sales and marketing and joined the pool and spa business in 1985.
He has led Sundance Spas through significant growth over nearly two decades, positioning the firm as a global leader. Currently, a part of the world’s largest manufacturer of acrylic hot tubs, the Chino, California-based firm is internationally recognized for its esteemed brands. The firm sells its products through more than 1,200 independent dealer locations in 60 countries.
Mr. Clark holds an undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton, along with master’s and doctorate degrees with a concentration in organizational psychology.
A native Southern Californian, Mr. Clark resides in Orange County, CA with his wife and two children.
